Birthday and Dog

I'm not quite sure where January went... but it was filled with birthdays and a dog.

Jacob's cousin, Grant, was visiting us and happily
joined in on the food and friends.

Jacob enjoyed his breakfast in bed of eggs, oj, and bacon.

Speaking of bacon, isn't that one of the most
tasty treats ever. I loooooove bacon!!!

Jacob had a Qualewiioodle Buster
party. You've never heard of it???
Probably, because Jacob combined all his
favorite things together into on busy party

He invented a game named Quata that he and his friends and 1/2 of the 3rd graders at school play . I still don't fully understand everything they do but it

involves squatting on the ground and repeating "Quata" often.

He loves the Wii so he had to throw that one in so he could play Wii during the party.

Doodles because when his friends aren't
playing Quata they are doodling comic books and
Peddling them on the school ground.
I haven't received a phone call from the
principal saying that this is against the rules... um we will see.

Usually the comics involve blood, bombs, and farting.
Doesn't that sound like a typical 9 year old boy?

Lastly is Crime Busters which Jacob also started with
some friends and
they now have a hierachy of leadership of which
he is the president
and consists of Bryon and Abbi being so -captains,
and then
Caleb is a scout and Jared is a
co something or another.
But they have currently training 23 happy friends.

If you are hoping to join in you are in luck,
the training sessions are only on Friday.

Oh, and the dog part. I will post another blog
about that dog adoption adventure.

a very happy birthday party

my nephew, Matthew, celebrated his 4th birthday. he loves
lightning mcqueen and was decked out in a costume.

rosa and breelle spent many, many hours making
this amazing "lightning mcqueen race track".
i would love to be a spectator sitting by
the delicious edible track!

what would you wish for if you were 4 years old again?

would you wish for this amazing balloon hat that
mom is wearing. there was a clown named petunia who entertained
the kids for an hour.

unfortunately, matthew was
scared to death of her and didn't want to
be near her!

i forgot that madeline and jacob would not
get near a clown, mascot, or santa claus for many
years. i think we're over that now!

good parties and too much cake!

Here are some long awaited pictures from Madeline's American Girl Mystery Party. She wrote the whole story and did a great job, I'm very proud of her creative mind. Do you see Jacob under the box, because he does always think outside and inside the box.

The story was based on Kit from the Great Depressions so the girls are in "period" clothing.
Jacob wanted an Army party so here is the cool cake that I decorated with army dudes.

Tank time... what better to eat at an army party than a Twinkie Tank. I could only take 2 bites of mine before my body hit sugar overload. I love chocolate but "candy" is another story. Jacob ate his and finished off mine! Good times and some cake too!

Happy Birthday to 2 great kids

It's been a party around here for a week! Madeline celebrated on Sunday and Jacob on Wedneday. Madeline has a American Girls Mystery Party starring Kit the AG doll she got for Christmas (thanks Barbara).

Madeline wrote the whole script and 8 giggly energetic girls came over for 1 1/2 hours of crime fighting skills to solve the case of the missing locket. Madeline did a great job and enjoyed her friends.

Jacob's army party is tomorrow and wants Twinkies as his cake. His 3 friends will be decorating the Twinkies to look like Tanks. They will have camo on their faces and crawl around on the floor searching for wounded soldiers. Want to come....

So as you can see life has been a little busy and on top of that our computer crashed last Saturday... like system restore crash. After spending several frustrating hours trying to restore the computer I finally came to the realization that our 5 years of digital picture might be gone.... gasp!

Well I recovered the computer.... Welcome, thanks for buying an HP computer.... AHHHHHH!

Thankfully and amazing person who is a futurist bought an external hard drive and backs it up on a regular basis had all the digital pictures and i-pod tunes on there... um I wonder who that could be oh ya it was me! So, I am back after a week of crazy! I will eventually post some pictures of the party.

Oh, I also volunteer at the kids school and we made our clay projects yesterday. It is always fun to pound some clay to get out your frustration! hugs!
