I have a sense of style. Don't be sad because you don't have an 80's frosty-mint green snowsuit. I stole it from my sister Andrea. It worked well down the tubing hill in Cascade.
Our girls weekend started with shopping, throw in some Cheesecake Factory, speed uno, Titanic movie, tubing, M&M's, and a lot of laughing. thanks for the memories girls, enjoy the photos!
Hello Jacque-O
After 5 years of red floral pillows, I was ready for something new, nautical, with a twist of surprise. I pulled out some Tag Bag fabric and whipped 3 pillows up in about an hour. They make me happy ;) What creative outlet makes you happy ???

Have you ever eaten a Bison Burger?

I've driven by this buffalo farmer thousands of times and always wanted to stop by. You know how it is... you are in a hurry to get to your parent's house for sunday dinner and you tell the kids "someday". Well, the day arrived.

Hi Fred... can I pet you?

madeline and jacob wanted to pet the bison.
how do you pet a bison ?

1. call the bison... here freddy, freddy
2. put some hay out for them to eat... come here freddy
3. ask to crawl in the fence

4. mother finally convinces them that they are big burley animals that want to be left alone.
5. sad children who don't have a bison to pet.

A Leprechaun Trap????

when madeline was in 1st grade, she came home with an assignment to make a leprechaun trap, a what? So she took a lot of time and made it just right to catch the crazy guy, mr l.

well, fast forward 3 years later and guess what we made on st pat's eve, another trap. see the crazy clay and rocks so that mr l can rock climb and get his pot of gold (make sure you say it with an irish accent, ok).

this is part of jacob's trap. i think it might scare the poor, little fella and he would run away with his head on so that the shark doesn't rip it off. forget the gold, i want to keep my head!
good morning st pat's day... madeline woke up at 1:30 AM to tell me no mr L but some mighty fine candy... okay good night!

this is jacob's frown, so sad that there was no mr l in the trap... i mean really, really sad. what can you do, mr l is sooooo fast.

we have another year to improve our traps!

will sing for money

Jacob and his friend, Nate, are quite the dynamic duo. They stopped by to sing a long and ask for some $$$$. How did they come up with this idea? Who is to say but it is DANG cute! So they wanted a sign that said "put $$$ here". Then they went around to the neighbors house's and played songs for them. They came to our house and I threw in a couple quarters.

Can't really play a song on the guitar, but look at that smile?

got cobwebs?

Saturday afternoon, Jacob and I were alone in the house and eating lunch. Stephen was still freezing his rear-end off camping and Madeline was at a birthday party.

Jacob kept looking at my face with a strange look on his face. This is the sign that a strange question is coming your way.

"Mom, why are there cobwebs up your nose?" Wow, I didn't see that one coming!
"Jacob, those are hairs. Everyone has them in their nose, including you!"
"No, mommy I don't have cobwebs up my nose!" and then he procedes to use his finger to check out his nose. "NO, mom no cobwebs up there!" "you check out your nose".
"Jacob, those are hairs".

I guess it's time to trim them!

any cobwebs up there?
any cobwebs here? What do you think?

happy camper

Stephen is an 11 year old scout leader and loves to camp. Well, he is getting his wish tomorrow when it is suppose to snow and be 24 degrees at night. He will be surrounded by fun 11 year olds who like to giggle like girls, fart really loud and laugh at it, and watch milk come out their nose.

Don't get me wrong, I've done my fair share of camping. When I was growing up we went to Camp Hycliff for girls' camp. The leaders preferred to have it when it's 125 degrees outside in the middle of July it would be by a river but were we allowed to swim in it, NO we would just stand their sweating wishing, hoping, to cool off somewhere...

There were 2 trees in the entire camp. hello, shade?
I would always end up in the nurse's tent because I had heat exhaustion, um I wonder why???

We would choose a location that was known for rattler snakes and tell us what they look like so that we would recognized them before you get bit.

When I was called as the YW girls camp leader my answer was... seriously? Are you desperate? Is there a Marriott within a 10 mile radius? I don't camp, and I don't like to camp.

I made it. We had the girl's camp in June (80 degrees), in the trees (oh, shade), and the girls would play everyday in the lake. In fact, I was thrown into the lake by two of the leaders as I was clawing my nails into their arms.

Have fun, Stephen!

I will be at home in my warm bed reading my book "a tree grows in brooklyn". What would you rather be doing than camping in 24 degree weather... comments please.
